Contrada have just completed the prestigious refurbishment project at the Head Office of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, located at 12 Great George Street, Parliament Square, London. The £4m project was carried out over 65 weeks, starting in February 2008, and covered all floors from the basement to the 5th floor. The project was completed over 7 phases while the building remained occupied. The floors offer open plan office space, meeting rooms and closed offices, kitchens, toilets, showers, a new reception and post room, and a new President Suite. Works included: all new mechanical and electrical services throughout; new plant; structural works; new lift shaft; ceilings; specialist joinery; decorations; flooring and repairing historic building fabric.
The project has been a defining achievement in our growth and one that we are very proud of. We have maintained a very good client relationship throughout this project and the finished building is to their satisfaction after a long process.
